Prayers Needed

Lately things seem to be going in a fast pace around me and lots of things going on and lots of things that need prayer. Recently a employee passed away, just a few short weeks after his girlfriend had passed on. Then there was another employee that truely needs prayers due to an unfortunate accident. (Please forgive my vagueness, I work in HR and need to be careful on things I post and say.) Then I hear stories of others just passing away for all different sorts of reasons.....it just breaks my heart.

And another thing that has been on my mind and I am sure many others, is the way our economy is going and how people are losing their jobs left and right. There are so many out there that need prayer and hope.

I am posting this mainly just to ask you to take a minute and to stop and pray for the people who have lost a loved one recently or maybe not so recently, to pray for those who are hurting for whatever reasons, to pray for those who are afraid they may lose their jobs, that they will find trust in God, to pray for those who just need a prayer...

Anyway, more random thoughts from me....but something that has been on my mind and in my heart lately. Things I need to remind myself of sometimes.

Halloween/Buster and Tippy's B-day Party

So I shall start off first with a lovely picture of Tom and I on Halloween. Every other year Tom's brother Tony and his wife Tonya host a halloween party.....This was my first time attending and also my first halloween party. It was a good time. Good memories made. I do not have many pictures through out the night because I didn't have my camera however...I do know that someone out there has a few pictures. Tom and I went as Vampires.

The next exciting happening of the weekend was we celebrated Buster and his brother Tippy's first birthday. As you can see in the pictures their cousins joined in for the celebration and they all had a good time. While I type this Buster is sleeping in his favorite chair. Here are a couple of pictures.

So there you have it....a few pictures of my weekend.....(I mainly updated my blog because Lynette told me to) I think she's the only one that reads my blog.......

All these Thoughts in my Head....

Ever have those times when your brain is so overloaded with thoughts and you just don't know what to do to get them out? I am having one of those times......I don't really want to vent it all out, I don't fully really want to talk about it all....but at the same time I want to let all these random thoughts out because I think I'd feel so much better....what's holding me back? I don't really know....so many things.....so many......I pray about them, I talk to God about them...I cry about them, I laugh about them....I giggle about them...

That's all I really have for right now.....sorry for the randomness..

Car Picture/Updates

The one and only picture I have of my lovely car. I was going to take more but this picture was taken when Tom and I came back from the UP and Traverse City.

Tom and I had a lovely time in the UP with his siblings....we stayed at a cabin/house right by Trout Lake. Played horse shoes, went swimming, had a campfire, got attacked by bugs, had a few glasses of wine, laughed, played phase 10 (I got 2nd place), went across the bridge and visited Tom's cousins and his Grandma, and just relaxed.

On Sunday Tom and I decided to take a trip out to Traverse City. Got there late afternoon....found a hotel....went wine tasting to a couple wineries that were still open, which we did find that if you decided to wear a Cinco De Mio Beer World Tour shirt from Old Chicago and wear a hat...they aren't so attentative to you. Yeah, that'd be Tom....we walked out of the tasting room and he immediately changed and I was amazed at the difference in service we got.

Monday am, we just chilled out....sat out by the water for a little while and decided to go to the other section of wine tasting. It was delightful...even though I was the only one that tasted wine since Tom was driving. I would have to say my favorite place up there was Black Star Farms. It was beautiful and I was in awe. Amazing wine. Amazing vineyard. I am glad we saved the best place for last in my opinion. http://www.blackstarfarms.com/

After wine tasting we decided to take 31 one down the lakeshore for more sightseeing. It was all together a great trip and I am glad I got away from Grand Rapids for a weekend. I was sad however to go back.

I know not many pictures...I actually forgot that I had my camera...can you believe it? Shame on me.

On the way back...we stopped to pick up Buster from his brothers house. It was almost like he didn't miss us at all. Here are a few pictures we took. His brother Tippy and him are being trained for hunting. We were all a little scared of Tippy...that dog can seriously jump over my head.....

Slacker Life

I do realize it's been FOREVER since I have last updated my blog....I am terrible. I have yet to take new pictures of the new car....it recently got TP'd.......and a mighty fine job they did....tied nice little knots around the door handles....and then of course it was misty that night....so it stuck oh so nicely to my car! I kinda laughed....keyword: kinda....not the most enjoyable thing to wake up and have to hurry to clean up so I wasn't late for work!

It has been a busy busy summer.....lots of birthday's....lots of catching up with old friends, lots of work...lots of everything really.....and now the newest....no internet at home.....which will hopefully get taken care of soon....

So anyway.....here I am.....telling you I am a slacker blogger....but I do plan on updating soon....

I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of Lia and Scott and the kids.....only what? 4 more days!!!!

Lease or Buy

New question of the day....

Do I lease the Maxda 3 for 3 years or.....buy it????

I struggle...becuase there are pros and cons to both options. I don't drive that much so leasing wouldn't be too bad....and after 3 years....I hand it over and don't have to deal with selling it....downside....after 3 years...I have to find a new car....

My thought is if I lease I can take the extra money that I am saving and when the 3 years is up I can have a bigger down payment on the next car and get what I really want.

The car that I am getting left port yesterday and should be in by the end of the week if not tomorrow....so...I need to think fast!

Update

So....after thinking and debating.....and thinking some more......

I've decided to go for the Mazda 6. The dealership is offering 0% for 60 mths or.....$2500 cash back..... It's a great price and a great car with good gas mileage. But when I arrived at the dealership....there were none to be found in Michigan.....so I decided...ok then I will look at the Mazda 3.....but....the price was/is the same as the 6 and the 6 is bigger and better....and I get more for the money.....

So I spent yesterday thinking about it....thinking about other options and what to do.....

Today I call the dealership up....ask if he can check just one more time....and well......there's 1 in Indiana that he might be able to get me.....so now I sit in waiting......and waiting........

How long must I wait? I need a car today......

Car is Sold....

After a week long battle between the bank and the buyer of my car....it is officially sold. I am now without a car, which is very difficult....however....I will survive....Hopefully by mid week I will have a new car. I am excited to have the car sold.....

Matilda Part 2

So....Matlida and her babies are not cooperating....

Matila is our pet bird....we are unsure of what kind of bird....but we feed her and we provided a nice grill for her to build her nest.. It's sad because Rose and I were really looking forward to grilling this summer....seems the birdy had other ideas....I'd post pictures but they are blurry...and little Matildy was falling out cause she was on the edge.....I'll try again tomorrow.

Apartment has color....

Rose and Paul took some time and painted the apartment last week.....Looks darn good, I think.. We (Rose and I) decided that if we are going to live here for 14 months and are allowed to paint we are going to take advantage of that. Rose plans on painting a wall in her room as well. I thought about it...but it would be way hard to move the furniture...So far living here has been really nice...

I do ask for your prayers. I am going through a rough time and just ask that you pray as I figure things out and find out what God's plan is for me and as I make some decisions that are not so easy. One Day at a Time is what my family always says..Glad I have such a nice supportive family and a great supporting boyfriend and friends. God is good and will direct me.

6 more days until I turn 26....ahhhhh......I am getting old....

I was getting my drivers license...I can't remember that long ago....but I'd say I was one Sassy Sweet and cool chick.......

Things on my to do list today:

Let's see....what have I done thus far today. Talked with Tom about stuff.....I did laundry....I cleaned up the apartment and thought lots....I attempted to communicate with my sister Lia via the gmail instant messenager and had no sucess doing that....I watched TV and look a nap...and currently I am at Tom's house....He's making me dinner and cleaning his house...Good times... Now what should I have done today....laundry, a budget, take a nap, clean out my car, go for a walk, and picked up the barstools from Target...they are on sale for $22 only until this evening...

Snacks that I enjoy:

I am not a huge snacker but I love popcorn, chips and cheese, and veggies...

Things I would do if I was a Billionaire:

Oh what would I do if I was oh so rich...I'd start out by hiring a personal shopper, a personal trainier, a house, work part time, I'd travel to Africa, I'd travel around the world, donate lots, help out friends and family....hard to say...but I would find ways to spend the money....

3 bad habits of mine:

Reading into things or trying to hard to fix the things that I have no control over, not waking up in the morning, and not cleaning my car out all the time....

Grew up on Kaiser street....then Thornridge Lane..then with Lia and Scott, Egan Avenue, and the next one I would prefer to skip and just say Ashbrook apartments....and my new lovely apartment in Grand Rapids....

So the pictures aren't that great but it gives you a little idea of what my apartment looks like. Rose and I are all moved in. We are lacking some things on the walls but it's just a matter of getting someone over there to help us out. We love it and so far we get along great.

Moved

So I am almost all moved into my new apartment. Tonight I will take pictures of the new place and also maybe post a nice picture of my new roommate.

Thanks to all of my family and Tom's cousins and of course Tom for helping me move....I wasn't stressed out at all...I did however realize that I do have a lot of stuff....My mom unpacked the kitchen....and I think we ran out of room to put things.....Opps....
